Last Nine Weeks:  So what do I do after the state test is over and I've covered all of my objectives?..... all the fun stuff we never got around to doing!!!  :)  We do a study on famous American Inventors (and count it for SS and science).   The kids "blow out" eggs in class and have to turn their egg into their assigned "Egg-cellent Inventor" - then present it to the class.  We also do an owl pellet dissection unit...the kids love it!

I have had several ask for my pacing guide.  Here is a VERY rough layout of my weekly science units for the 1st 9 weeks. 50 States in SS, Scientific Method, Geography Skills in SS, the 5 Kingdoms and Cells, Famous Scientists, Human Organs and Systems, Parts of a Plant and Pollination, 9 weeks test

This is also not an "official" pacing chart with objectives listed... for various reasons.  (1) not everyone viewing this classroom is in the state of MS and follows the Mississippi State Frameworks and (2) Pacing guides vary from school to school, county to county, and state to state.  Teachers just often ask what order I present my lessons...
